이정원 아이씨티케이 부대표는 산업용 IoT 확대에 필수적인 보안 체계화와 표준화 필수성을 강조했다. 그동안 센서·노드 단에서 보안은 비용과 복잡성 그리고 배터리 문제로 사물인터넷의 산업용 진출에 커다란 장애가 됐다. 하지만 아이씨티케이는 가볍고 저렴하면서도 보안성이 향상된 물리적 복제방지 보안칩 대량 양산에 성공했다. 국내외 보안 업계와 사물인터넷 분야에 차세대 보안 기술 방향성을 제시한 셈이다. 유럽과 이스라엘 보안 업계에서도 그 중요성을 인정받아 다양한 교류를 하고 있다. 사물인터넷 도입에 적극적인 중국 전자업계에서는 이미 보안기술의 IP 협업과 보안칩 적용 교류를 시작했다.
