LG CNS가 보안 표준 기술을 도입해 사물인터넷(IoT) 보안 강화에 본격적으로 나선다.
LG CNS는 최근 서울 영등포구 여의도 LG CNS 본사에서 보안솔루션 전문업체 (주)아이씨티케이(ICTK)와 ‘IoT 보안표준기술사업(PUF)을 위한 양해각서(MOU)’를 체결했다고 22일 밝혔다.
LG CNS는 이번 양해각서 체결을 통해 IoT 보안관리서버와 기기보안모듈에 PUF(Physical Unclonable Function)칩 기술을 적용하는 연동 개발에 착수하기로 했다. PUF 기술은 유럽, 미국 등 선진국에서 인정받고 있는 보안 표준 기술로, 중요데이터를 메모리영역에 저장하는 기존 방식과 달리 키(Key)값과 같은 중요데이터 자체를 암호화함으로써 보안 취약점을 근본적으로 해결하는 게 강점이다.
LG CNS는 본격적인 개발에 앞서 기술검토를 통해 PUF칩을 IoT 플랫폼에 접목하는 상세 방안을 만들고 올해 안에 인증보안 솔루션 개발을 마무리 짓기로 했다.
조인행 LG CNS IoT사업담당 상무는 “최근 사물인터넷이 기업과 가정 전반에 확산되면서 사물인터넷 보안에 대한 우려가 커지고 있다”며 “ 이를 해결하기 위해 강력한 보안성이 있는 PUF칩과의 시너지를 이용해 IoT 보안 시장을 선도하겠다”고 말했다.
