HRoT (Hardware Root of Trust)

The Hardware Root of Trust is a set of core functional elements consisting of hardware and software components that can be trusted and cannot be altered during the lifetime of the product.

It is something that the computer’s operating system can rely on all the time in any circumstances. 

The hardware secure components must be consistent and reliable regardless of any environmental conditions such as process, voltage, and temperature variations.
